Water Correction and Control

PROTECTING YOUR PROPERTY

Erosion control is very important, especially with all the rain we've had. Without proper management, water could wash out roads or destroy large areas of your property. Our team installs above-ground water diversion, and underground drainage systems for yards with natural spring problems.

DIRECT SURFACE WATER AWAY FROM THE HOME WITH LANDSCAPE REGRADING

When it comes to surface/storm water drainage, we start with a natural “go with the flow” approach. Landscape regrading, or slope/pitch correction, helps direct water to a safe location by creating a uniform slope that’s consistent with international residential codes. HWY 25 Landscaping specialists can also incorporate attractive features such as swales and berms that add visual appeal as well as improved drainage.

BENEFITS OF LANDSCAPE REGRADING

  • Proper, strategic grading directs water's natural flow to desired location
  • Creates aesthetically pleasing contours that complement landscaping
  • Enhanced soil stability
  • Minimized erosion/settling to prevent heaving
  • Reduces oversaturation by irrigation
  • Moves unlimited amounts of water, including snow melt
  • No maintenance required

OUR PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPE REGRADING PROCESS

A slope/pitch correction can be done on its own and is often combined with other surface water solutions. When regrading your lawn, our experts will:

  • Survey property to determine the best direction to divert & discharge water
  • Re-grade property to ensure optimal slope (6-inch fall for first 10 feet & 2% slope thereafter)
  • Create swales, berms, dry beds, & holding ponds as necessary for effective water flow
  • Raise or repair any damaged sprinkler heads and/or pipes
  • Compact the soil & remove any excess
  • Re-seed or re-sod where necessary
  • Replace landscaping as necessary
  • Clean up the worksite
